Your Job, Your Home - it's a Win-Win!
More people are working from home than ever. It is estimated that pre-pandemic, one in 65 people worked from home, and now, it is one in seven. Studies have found people working from home are usually more productive and happier. To find a balance, many major companies like Microsoft have made the hybrid work/home model permanent. This means that employees come into work a couple days a week, and stay home to work the rest of the business week. Pandemic or not, it is predicted that remote working will become the norm, and with the overhead savings and other benefits to the company that this provides, will continue to be on the rise.
Odds are, if you live here on the Suncoast, you need no prompting to understand why working from home would be appealing. Your breakroom is incredible! Study after study has found taking even short relaxing and/or enjoyable breaks from work revitalizes you and helps you be more productive and focused, when your break is over. Consider then the average office breakroom versus sipping coffee while looking out on a beautiful body of water or a lush garden. As the quality of the break goes up undoubtedly so will the quality of work!
With all that in mind it is no wonder I am helping more and more people sell their current home that at one time met all their personal needs, and finding them a home that meets their personal and professional needs. It starts with wanting a place that you really don't want to leave - it has your office, but also has additional amenities or space to create the best work life balance possible. For some, it means a beautiful water view or expansive outdoor living areas, while others want a workout room, studio, or their own boat docked in the backyard. Or - on this I totally relate - some people enjoy the idea that when work is done, they are steps away from a round of golf! With less commute time, there is more fun time.
You may already be considering a move but with our current low inventory and fast-paced market, you aren’t certain about the timing of buying and selling. That is where I come in. I have successfully helped people navigate this transition during a time that could be otherwise quite stressful for buyers. Another thing to keep in mind is that though you may feel like waiting for a market change, interest rates have remained low, and that makes it a good time to find a home you where you love to live, play, and work!
